My Maternity Photo Shoot

Hi Lovelies,

As the first post of my Pregnancy Journey Series I thought I’d start out with some pictures from my Maternity Photo Shoot.

I knew as soon as I found out I was pregnant that materity photos were a necessity (it was that or a belly cast – glad I picked the photos as my memory!!). It is such a special time, that in hindsight flys by so I wanted to capture that beautiful time in my life and have my main man by my side. After much research we found Hello Sunshine Photography. Her photos captured me straight away, they’re so dreamy but still realistic and down to earth. As soon as I had a chat with Sarah from Hello Sunshine I knew I’d found our photographer. Everything was so well explained and she didn’t leave any of my many questions unanswered. I didn’t know what week in my pregnancy would be best, what to wear, where to have the photos taken, what time of day.. but she had all of this taken care of. It made preparing for the day a breeze.

We decided to have the photo shoot at our house (in the nursery) and at a park on sunset. Sarah uses soft & gentle natural light and prefers to shoot at sunrise and sunset. Both options give the most flattering and atmospheric photos.

I bought my dress from Witchery. It was the perfect design to capture the bump, gorgeous nude colour and cinched in at the waist etc 😀 (Side note: I never bought any maternity clothing during my pregnancy, except for a pair of jeans. There were already so many beautiful and flattering pieces available and I just got a size bigger).

Here are some of the moments that Sarah captured (me at 34 weeks):

I loved the cute USB stick that arrived with all our favourite photos 😀

I’m glad we got to capture this special time and I’m looking forward to canvasing some of our favourite photos.

If you’re in the Brisbane, Gold Coast or Sunshine Coast areas and looking at capturing some precious family moments then I definitely recommend Sarah from Hello Sunshine, here are her details and a very generous discount for you guys!!
